An autographed letter signed to Jonas P. Levy, of Tabasco, Mexico. From the Counsulate of the United States of America. Mexico, April 25, 1846. Black was a diplomat and U. S. Minister to Mexico during the Mexican War. "I had called several times to see Liscuciado Estaven but was unable to find him, until this morning. He tells me the expediente in relation to the steam boat Pertita and owners had been dispatched by him on the 24th of last month, which you will undoubtedly have received before this reaches you..."
