Boston: Cummings and Hillard, 1818. 314 pages (probably lacking one leaf, as the final entry on the Gazetteer is "Trieste"). With two engraved plates showing map projections. 8vo, leather backed boards; worn but sound (Item ID: 1089)

Sixth edition, originally published in 1813. Contains a twenty page introduction explaining geography to teachers "who have had but imperfect, or no geographical instructions." As is typical of this period, the description of the Italians ends with "it was once the mistress of the world, and is still a fine, populous, and interesting country, but inhabited by a race of people, who are degenerated by superstition and political slavery."
