Originally published in 1856. Sarah Sophia Cornell was one of the few women writers of school geographers. She was a corresponding member of the American Geographical and Statistical Society. A unique, but sad feature of this copy is that after page 96, the printer inserted a signature from a grammar text, so directly after the geography of Texas, we learn the rules for the colon and the comma.
