Ten 7 X 9 silver print photographs (probably press photographs) of the Salesian Institute. The photos are not uniform, but cropped in slightly different ways and sizes. All but one of the photographs has a typed label on the verso. They are not dated but appear to be from the 1920's or 30's. The labels read as follows: One of the class rooms at the Salesian Institute; Gymnasium Salesian Institute; Dining Room of Salesian Institute.First and Second Class. The third class where Mussolini ate had only rough uncovered tables. It has since been abolished; Another view of the playgrounds at the Salesian playgrounds where Mussolini dominated the games and his schoolmates; Billiard and Recreation Room Salesian Institute; The present staff of Salesian Institute; Salesian Institute. Library and Office; The "Parlatorio" or Reception Room where little Benito's mother pleaded against his expulsion; A Graduating Class of the Salesian Institute. Showing uniforms worn by the boys. Benito's picture appears on no graduating class as he only stayed 18 months.
