Alfonso X. Peņa (1903 - 1964). In the late 1930's he was in New York and formed part of the group of artists that included Tamayo, Tablada, Best Maugard and Covarrurubias. In 1957, he won a gold medal for his mural at the Paris International Exposition. He created murals in Paris, Caracas, Los Angeles, Mazatlan, and Cuernavaca. In 1950 he won the Jose Clemente Orozco medal.
